This place is really bad. To start with Alex at the front office has no idea or no care to do her job in any capacity. She does everything poorly, doesn’t follow through. She never offers any apologies or excuses when she makes these mistakes and they can cost you money. Ben is pretty mean but in a polite “I’m just doing my job” way. They charge you an amenity fee that is non negotiable, but they don’t upkeep them at all. The trash service is horrible. The gym has been under repairs for weeks and they don’t care to fix it at all. The walls and the different floors are very thin, so you won’t get any sleep. The maintenance is very bad and takes weeks to do anything. Also they NEVER answer the phones, because they don’t care about you or anything you need from them.
I had the worst experience with The Brodie from the start. They never answer their phone and they told me they were short staffed. As a previous business manager myself, this is no excuse but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I wanted my keys to my apartment in the morning but was told they inspect the apartments in the morning therefore would give me the keys in the afternoon. The master bathroom was so awful with stains in the tub and on the tiles as shown in the picture. The light bulbs in the bathroom and patio were out. The garbage disposal and washer were not working. Wasp nests all around the patio ceiling. Patio door was broken. The front door lock was jamming and jammed all 8 months of my lease, as shown in the picture. I immediately went back to the front office and Ben told me this is why they give you the inspection sheet to write down what's wrong so they can fix it which is not what that sheet is for. Well, this was inhabitable environment because they had to shut off the water supply in order to fix the bathroom. I was also told it was okay if the door always jammed because “it seems to be locking”. This was JUST the beginning. Parking is bad. My roommates car got broken into and Ben didn’t reach out until 3 months later. The gates are always open and broken. Don’t bother having people over because their car will get towed and no one will answer the phone at the towing place or front desk. The list goes on but this is just the surface.
Oh its a decent place, however if you visit your family don't expect to see your car when returning. They state they have several signs stating where is private parking and what is visitor. Yet they fail to mention if its a blank space no markings or signs or anything. They expect you to read the sign somewhere at the front where visitors can park.
This is extortion and I would hate to live in a terrible place that hires one of the lowest rating towing companies in that area ( 1.4 ) stars. Reliant towing also has also had many claims of the same thing happening, as well as a civil suit for one of there employees stealing out of the car.
TDLR; don't rent here unless you enjoy getting your car or guests vehicles impounded for the low price of $260. Any company that cheaps out on towing services definitely cheaps out elsewhere. Where did peoples morals go, would not recommend to my worst enemy.
My significant other and I toured The Brodie apartment complex and overall had a fair experience. I will say the manager was wholesome and offered us a number of deals to secure our residency. He was welcoming and very enthusiastic …
I was debating giving 5 stars because I normally do not. But now that The Brodie has new maintenance and management, the property has been improving. I am very glad with everything that has gone into making the property better. Robert has done every work order for me and has done great. Ben is a great manager and easy to get along with. Andrew and Michael are always nice. Everyone seems to be doing really great and happy to help me.
I have been here for over 3 years now and love the things the new management is doing. Robert took care of a lot of my maintenance requests over the past year and a half and knocked them out without issue. Super friendly and great asset on …
Avoid The Brodie at all costs! I have lived here for 2 years and it was not a great experience …
I just moved out, but I lived at The Brodie for a little over a year. I have to say that the new management is doing a lot to make the property way better. Lots of improvements have been made and the community there is really great. I’ve always had pleasant interactions with those in the office, including Ben.
